Estimates Only, Not Tax Advice
Xenliv Business Hub calculates estimated tax figures, including but not limited to: individual progressive income tax, company tax, Small Business Corporation (SBC) tax bands, PAYE, UIF, provisional tax, and VAT summaries.
These calculations are based on SARS-published tax brackets, rebates, thresholds and rates for the relevant tax year, applied to the information you input into the Service. They are provided for planning and estimation purposes only.
Xenliv is not a registered tax practitioner, accountant, auditor, or financial advisor, and nothing generated by the Service constitutes tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. You should not rely on any figure produced by the Service as a substitute for professional advice or for the purpose of filing an official return with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
What This Means in Practice
- Tax figures shown in the Service (income tax, PAYE, UIF, provisional tax, VAT, SBC savings) are estimates, calculated using the information you have entered, and may not reflect your complete tax position.
- Your actual tax liability may differ based on factors not captured by the Service, deductions or circumstances specific to you, or changes to SARS rules after the figures were calculated.
- Certain thresholds are inherently ambiguous or require professional judgment to apply correctly, for example, SBC qualification and turnover-threshold rules. Where the Service asks you to self-declare eligibility (e.g. via checkboxes), you are responsible for confirming that declaration is accurate.
- Company year-of-assessment timing, provisional tax periods, and VAT registration/liability status can vary by business and should be confirmed with a professional.
Your Responsibility
Before filing any return, making any payment to SARS, or relying on any figure from the Service for a financial decision, you should:
- Verify the relevant figures independently, and
- Consult a SARS-registered tax practitioner or qualified accountant.
Accuracy of Tax Data
We make reasonable efforts to keep tax brackets, rebates and rates up to date with SARS publications for each tax year, and to cross-check them against official sources rather than relying on memory or estimation. However, tax law and SARS guidance can change, and we do not guarantee that figures in the Service are error-free or fully current at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xenliv accepts no liability for any loss, penalty, interest, or damage arising from reliance on tax estimates generated by the Service, including any underpayment, overpayment, late filing, or SARS penalty. This disclaimer should be read together with the Limitation of Liability section of our Terms of Service.
